Seasonal Ground Crew

 Our certified Pesticide Handlers mix products and prepare loads. Ground Crew members refuel the aircraft after each landing, making them an integral part of the aerial application operation. Trust between pilots and the ground crew is paramount. Ground crew members are constantly on alert for anything out of place on the aircraft and are a second set of eyes on the maps before they reach the pilot's hands. They are usually the first to arrive each day and the last to leave. Each year before our season starts, all the handlers, ground crew members, and office staff participate in a full training day. Our employees are trained in all areas, including fire extinguishers, pesticide safety, the proper use of PPE, and how to safely approach and board an aircraft. Meyer Agri-Air, Inc.'s safety management system manual also covers all policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
